For a description of the band please feel free to read KD's first impression of smoothing talking Prognosis Negative.

Let's talk about the music.  "Can of Beef" is the song that first grabbed KD's attention.  "Your set was funny," I told TJ outside of the Stardust in Downey.  "It sounded like you are really mad at the world and your music is the only scapegoat."  TJ did not comment on my comment.  I enjoyed the song "Can of Beef" because of the way he sings "Can of Beef."  His voice is altered in such a way that he can pretty much "say what" he wants to say.  He replied with, "Well that's how the song goes."  Then we laughed.  Well, I laughed.  He just kind of stood there and watched.

The next song that KD would like to discuss is a song called "Value."  This song carries the band's "mellow theme" across the board.  It sets a standard for what the band can accomplish with a little focus and a lot of heart.

Their sound is short but contains all the taming of "Wild Horses" and David Bowie's "Under Pressure."

"What's your favorite song?" KD asked Don.

"I would have to say Value." Don replied.

"That's a great song man," KD said.

"Thanks man," said Don.  "We worked hard on putting it together just the way we wanted it."

I asked one of their "groupies" what her favorite song was and she replied, "IDK, probably I Do Drugs.”  It is a very hip song with rapid jerks of energy that pulsate up and down the West Coast.  I'm not sure if she picked that song, because of what it says or what it does...

The correct title of the song is "Do Drugs," by the way.

Other highlights of their demo, which can be heard here on Kinetics Direct Music, are the songs "Everything Sucks" and let's see.  There is "Value," "Do Drugs," "Can of Beef," "Everything Sucks," "Happy Pills," and "Falling Evil."  That last one is a bit odd.  It has a Tool type interlude that screeches sound waves of distortion.  The screeching fades with focus.
