LPS [Look Past the Stars] – (4-/25) [Date of Show]
Still setting up [That is… the band, Look Passed the Stars, was still setting up at that time.] Los Angeles
Keyboards [Must be the keyboards Treviso (drums) spoke of at the Stardust.]
There were two of them. [You know, like one on top of the other?]
Treviso sports a Yoda-doll on the low tom. The bass drum is black with no symbol or name, only a cinder block holding it down.
Other bands start to arrive at 9:30. [I think to myself that it must be better to start the show after a few of the other bands arrive. “That way you have someone to thank (CA),” other than Mr. T’s Bowl, “Thanks Mr. T’s Bowl (KD).”
There’s a first “mic” check, [The guy on keyboards, (in black outfit, white tie), right before Nestler (guitar/vocalist) "white-tie" go over some chords, (progression?), “Sharp (Nestler.)”
First chords sound strong. Time: 9:35 p.m. More people arrive. “Heh Heh (CA).”
“Remember to number pages before show.” I said to myself. [That was a side note about the numbering of pages on the notepad. The notepad used to record the events, of that night.]
Nestler plays a gold Gibson guitar with a VRT head and an unknown vintage speaker. The keyboard can be heard through Marshall amps. The bassist plays a Fender with a double-stack and head. The bottom amp of the double-stack also has a head.
Another cinder block stands upright on the far left. It is right next to the monitor. Another cinder block is on the far left. The bass is together and covered. The benches begin to fill. They’re rounded out to 3 “avid fans” per bench.“No flash smart-guys.” [ran-dumb, quote?]
The show begins at 10:19. [Keyboard, guitar and Kinetics Direct started paying attention. ] (Whatever that means and if you’re into that kind of shit.)
It is instrumental time, with that small “ting,”
