Stop Thief

There I was again at the House of Blues on time this time to prepare for Every Time I Die (ETID).
The Big Dirty, ETID’s latest album.
It has earned them a headlining position on the Take Action Tour.
The tour benefits over 20 charities and according to the band’s amount of Myspace activity, has kept Every Time I Die busy.
ETID shook Kinetics Direct neck to toe a few weeks ago.
Let’s begin by “Oh Dear God,” can Buckley (vocals) sing and hit that note that’s not to be confused with “poppy” melodies about… That’s it!
Every Time I Die plays music at a different level.
They’ve thrown away the “chorus-label,” and replaced it by never ending lyrics separated by the off-beat.
Jordan Buckley (guitar), Andrew Williams (guitar) and Michael Novak (drums) are unpredictable and often play at different time signatures.
They start together then wonder off, one-by-one in search for each other.
Keith Buckley does a good job making you think what his lyrics scream, err… mean, and fore, four, together.
How he fits them into their songs and how Every Time I Die lives “ready to die,” is what drove KD into ETID. |
